Adcock was employed by ISD Solutions to provide refrigeration services in cold room suites for the new build project at the University of Nottingham Centre for Biomolecular Science, to include internal LED lighting, temperature and fault monitoring system, and associated mechanical and electrical installation.
The project entailed supplying and installing remote refrigeration systems to 4 off chilled cold rooms and 4 off freezer cold rooms spread over 4 floors to provide close temperature control to laboratory cold rooms. Equipment installed consisted of RC Scutt Inverter controlled external condensing units, Kelvion internal ceiling mounted evaporators and Frostechnic evaporator control panels c/w RDM controllers.
Adcock also provided internal LED lighting and a RDM Data Manager temperature monitoring system installed complete with the ability to notify external and remote staff via email alerts. This gives users the peace of mind that they have a robust solution that will keep refrigeration assets and controls safe.
The client has also entered into a preventative maintenance contract with Adcock which ensures that they meet all their legal obligations under EC Regulation No 842/2006 regarding fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-Gases). Adcock is Refcom registered and all UK-wide engineers have undertaken the mandatory F-Gas and ODS Regulations training. F-Gas legislation means it’s a legal requirement to have a qualified engineer check equipment for leaks and have clearly identified, labelled equipment and records.
