As an organisation and as part of a partnership with our supply chain, Adcock is building an ethos that strives to impart an instinctive natural trait amongst its employees and colleagues - and so health and safety at home and at work - leading to an environment where putting safety first is a habitual second nature.
Adcock is committed to ensuring all employees and contractors know their health and safety responsibilities and have the resources and procedures required to mitigate accidents and incidents.
In the interests of our workforce and customers, we not only meet legal obligations but frequently exceed them.
For complete details of the standards we have attained, please visit our accreditations page.
Adcock has gained ISO 45001 certification accredited to UKAS standards through the British Assessment Bureau in May 2020. ISO 45001 has been designed as an internationally recognised replacement for OHSAS 18001 certification.
The main change is that ISO 45001 takes a more proactive attitude to identifying and evaluating risks, whereas OHSAS 18001 is only focused on controlling OH&S hazards and other internal issues.
ISO 45001 helps reduce the risk of accidents, keeping our workforce safe.
The accreditation also:
Adcock routinely acts as principal contractor on large construction projects in accordance with the latest Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
Under the CDM 2015 Regulations, clients have a legal obligation to ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their premises operate safely.
To this end, we are joining major brands in implementing SafeContractor, an SSIP-approved health and safety assessment scheme for contractors within our supply chain who want to meet our forward thinking and exacting standards. By insisting that contractors join the scheme before commencing work for Adcock we benefit in many ways, which in turn benefits our customers, including peace of mind and confidence that we are selecting from a compliant talent pool.
Adcock is a top tier partner for world-class manufacturers including Daikin, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries which means our engineers are fully qualified and approved to install, maintain and service these manufacturers’ products competently. Adcock is certified to meet CHAS, GasSafe and Refcom F-Gas safety standards too.
Substantial investment has been made to ensure that a safe working culture is fostered at Adcock and our Health and Safety Manager continues to develop the profile of H&S throughout the company.
The Group Health and Safety Policy is ingrained in everyone’s working practices, from the Managing Director to the newest recruit.
It is always our aim to simplify all of our services and to serve you where we can.
