Chatham Engineer Honoured at IOR 125th Anniversary Dinner

We were proud to attend the Institute of Refrigeration’s (IOR) 125th Annual Dinner on 27th February, celebrating outstanding contributions to the advancement of the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump industry.

A highlight of the evening was seeing Matthew Byfleet of our Chatham branch receive the prestigious IOR RACHP EngTech Lifetime Achievement Award. This award, presented by IOR President Lisa-Jayne Cook FInstR, is awarded to an engineer who has made a substantial contribution to the industry through their dedication to their work and enthusiasm throughout their career.

Adcock Director Steve Maclennan shared his admiration, stating: "this award is testament to not only Matt's attitude and character, but also to his trade knowledge and desire to provide an outstanding service working on a wide range of equipment and technologies ranging from VRV/VRF systems to commercial and pharmaceutical applications”.

Matthew is passionate about mentoring apprentices and young technicians, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm to inspire the next generation and propel the sector forward.
