Automated External Defibrillator – LIFE SAVERS

Nearly 30,000 people suffer from Sudden Cardiac Arrest outside of a healthcare setting every year. This can happen anywhere, at any time. Due to the expense, many businesses are apprehensive about buying workplace defibrillators. But in light of these alarming statistics, can you put a price on saving a life?

At Adcock, we placed workplace Automated External Defibrillator (AEDs) in all our branches (except Adcock Reading, where an AED exists in the adjacent building) which demonstrates our commitment that, as an employer we are taking steps to protect our employees. With the chances of someone surviving a cardiac arrest increasing from 6% to 74% if a shock is delivered in the first 3–5 minutes, the power of a defibrillator should never be underestimated.

Adcock AEDs are listed on various apps, UK database and are available to local communities, emergency services, first responders, and businesses within their effective range. A total of 11 AEDs have been supplied and installed and are ready for use.
