Adcock Refrigeration and Air Conditioning are delighted to announce that we have signed up to sponsor the new Cambridgeshire FA new Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) for girls.
The recent success of the England Women’s Team at the Women's World Cup in Canada has spurred the female population to don their boots and give football a try.
Cambridgeshire FA Chief Executive Chris Pringle said "We're delighted to have Adcock on board. Adcock Chairman Phillip Prior is a keen supporter of local football and to have the backing of Adcock for the ACC is fantastic. With the support of Adcock I am sure the centre will get off to an excellent start and enable girls in the area to receive coaching from highly qualified and specialist FA coaches."
The Advanced Coaching Centre sponsored by Adcock will allow for a talent pathway to be developed in the county and ultimately aim to provide the national team with future lionesses. Trials to gain a place in the centre have been ongoing over the last month and have seen the centre's age groups start to take shape. Over 140 girls trialed for the centre and once the girls have been selected they will be put into squads of under 10's, under 12's, under 14's and under 16's. The ACC will provide a stepping stone to the FA East Regional Girls’ Centre of Excellence.
Phillip Prior, who played locally in the Cambridgeshire County League for Great Shelford, commented: "Adcock are delighted to sponsor this fantastic new centre for girl's football. As a company we were the first sponsors of the girl's league, which has gone from strength to strength and grown out of recognition year on year. The effort Cambridgeshire FA put into the community is commendable and we are pleased to offer our support in this way".
