Scope of the Job
To install VRF air conditioning with indoor units to serve first floor management offices and open-plan work areas. The objective was to create and install a system whereby users of the various offices and work spaces would be able to control temperatures according to their individual requirements.

The Challenge
In design terms, we faced the challenge of designing a system that suited the layout of the building itself and also the limited space for the outdoor condensing unit. This involved concealing the pipework on the run down to the plant room and underground to the condenser.
Logistically, we had to find ways of working that caused minimum disruption to the client’s staff and visitors, as the offices were occupied.
How We Helped
Everything went smoothly on all counts and Giant were very happy.
Adcock had experience of similar jobs elsewhere and we were originally recommended to Giant by another client. This is the second installation we have carried out for Giant at this site, we previously installed exposed ducted systems to their showroom in 2011.
Equipment Installed
Adcock selected a Mitsubishi Electric VRF inverter-driven heat recovery system.
On behalf of all the staff at Giant UK Ltd I’d like to thank the whole team from Adcock, who did a tremendous job from start to finish installing an entire air conditioning system in our offices.
At the initial site visit they took the time to fully understand our needs and found a solution that satisfied those needs, fell within our budget and also took account of the existing design of our offices, showroom and training facilities.
When it came to fitting the units, their installation engineers were able to work around our busy staff by starting early and working late into the night. They liaised well with our team and also our builders and ensured the work was completed on time.
Their good work did not finish there as the post installation support was also exemplary.
