In England & Wales, the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations, requires that air conditioning systems are inspected by accredited personnel to assess their energy performance.
For all systems first put into service on or after 1 January 2008, the first inspection must have taken place within 5 years of the date when it was first put into service.
One or more air conditioning units within a building controlled by a single person are considered to comprise a single air conditioning system for the purposes of the regulations.
An air conditioning inspection and its accompanying report are designed to:
- Provide building owners/operators with information about system performance, and
- Identify opportunities to reduce your CO² emissions and save energy and money
If you would like more information on air conditioning inspections or wish to arrange for an inspection on your existing equipment, please contact your local branch.
