Health & Safety at Adcock

The Directors of the Company attach great importance to the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and are committed to creating an accident and incident free working environment for the well being of anyone who could be affected during the course of their works.

The Adcock Group strives to maintain the highest possible Health and Safety standards in the best interests of its workforce and customers. While some companies pay lip service to Health & Safety legislation, we not only meet legal obligations but frequently exceed the legislative requirements.

We take very seriously our responsibilities on safe working and recognise the importance of effectively managing Health & Safety in the workplace and on site.

Health & Safety

Accreditations

Under the CDM 2007 Regulations, clients have a legal obligation to ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their premises operate in a safe way.
Therefore it is necessary to assess contractors health & safety arrangements and increasingly this is being carried out through a third party.

Therefore the company have been audited and accredited by the Contractors Health & Safety (CHAS) Assessment Scheme, as well as Constructionline. Constructionline is the Government's national register for contractors, consultants and suppliers. While CHAS provide a tool for use in the health and safety element of pre-qualification, Constructionline provide the pre-qualification tool for use in financial standing, technical references and other areas.

Following exhaustive commercial and safety audits, Adcock has achieved 'Approved Vendor' status with Altius Vendor Assessment. Altius's vendor assessment service is a leader in its field. The assessment is tailored to the products and services we provide and to the clients we provide them to.

In-House Health & Safety

Our full-time Health and Safety Manager has over 19 years experience in the field and substantial investment has been made to ensure that a safe working culture is integrated into the fabric of all our working practices. The Group Health and Safety Policy is driven from the managing director right down to the newest recruit.
